Commuters in Glasgow’s Central Station were treated to a chilly reception as an artist turned a 2,200kg block of ice into the perfect traveller’s snack.  To celebrate National Apple Day, our Ice Artist took just three hours to create a 6ft high and 3.3ft wide ice apple – using only a set of chisels.  The mouth-watering piece was started at 8am and remained on display yesterday until just a puddle of water remained.  The stunt was sponsored by Magners Irish Cider, who gave out real apples to the public.
