Title: Thomas Cook Airlines Ice Melt Competition

On behalf of Thomas Cook Airlines UK, Social Chain approached Icebox to design a live Facebook ice melt competition for consumers to have the chance to win flights to the USA.  A 1m x 50cm ice block was displayed at Manchester Airport with a Thomas Cook plane in the background.  Various items were frozen in the block and a camera crew spent a whole day filming the ice block melt.  Throughout the course of the day, the items fell as the ice melted around it.  As part of the campaign, Social Chain asked Icebox to ensure that the falling products were staggered and fell in a certain order.  Ice and the way it melts is a somewhat unpredictable medium but through our sculpting team’s knowledge and expertise, Icebox managed to make this happen (almost down to the minute!).  The video was released on Facebook the following month and consumers had 24 hours to comment on the video page for their chance to win.  The competition received 171.3 comments, 153k views and 2.3k shares.  Both clients were delighted by the outcome.
