Through word of mouth and having seen an Icebox sculpture at an event, DDB London approached Icebox to enquire about the feasibility of carving a life size VW car in ice for a national press and poster site advertising campaign advertising ‘air conditioning’ as standard.  With less than 10 days notice, Icebox designed, carved and executed the design displaying it outside the Saatchi Gallery in London.  

Before the print advertising campaign had broken, well over 11 people had seen the car and knew about the air conditioning features.  The client used the print advertising in car magazines and billboards across the country and extended the campaign
